Additional Community Resources

In addition to connecting you with services provided by FISH, our dispatchers can help you to find other community resources. If you don't see what you need, give us a call at 707-996-0111.

  • FOOD ASSISTANCE: In addition to FISH, there are several other food assistance programs that serve Sonoma Valley. Find them under our Community Resources pages for Groceries and Prepared Meals.  For scheduled events, visit our Community Food Calendar
     
  • COUNTY SERVICES: The County of Sonoma has a new "East County Services Center" in Sonoma Valley, located at 19080 Lomita Avenue (behind Taco Bell). Services include nutrition assistance, child support services, and county behavioral health / mental health services. A bilingual receptionist is available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for walk-in assistance and referrals, or call 707-565-3510. For some services, hours are limited and an appointment is required. Current hours are:
    • CalFresh (SNAP) and MediCal: Walk-in hours Tuesday and Thursday 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Call 877-699-6868 to begin an application.
    • Women Infant and Children (WIC) Nutrition: By appointment Monday and Tuesday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Call 707-565-6900 to schedule.
    • Child Support: By appointment Wednesday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Call 707-565-4900 to schedule.
    • Behavioral Health: By appointment on Thursdays. Call 707-565-4700 or 707-565-6900.
       
  • 2-1-1 Sonoma County lists many resources available in our area. For Sonoma Valley, some of the most frequently requested services are listed below. We've included links and phone numbers for community resources for emergency housing, health and wellness, senior support, youth services, and more.

  • Emergency Housing
  • 707-304-0502​ Programs to reduce homelessness and build community, including Sunday dinners, befriending and pro bono service matching programs, and a tiny home shelter facility.

  • Health and Wellness

    SVCHC is a non-profit, federally qualified health center serving Sonoma Valley. In addition to medical services, SVCHC offers behavioral health, a dental clinic, pharmacy services and certified bilingual enrollment professionals to help determine eligibility and enrollment options.
    There is also an office of WIC (nutrition assistance program for Women, Infants, and Children) located at SVCHC (call 707-565-6590).

    The Crisis Stabilization Unit provides 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week crisis intervention, assessment, medication, and up to 23 hours of supportive care for individuals in an acute mental health crisis. The suicide prevention hotline at (855) 587-6373 is available to any Sonoma County resident who needs help. The hotline is a vital resource to any family member, loved one, friend or ally who may be worried about someone who may be suicidal.
